Further to execution of Article 40 of Iranian Constitute to encourage private sector for investing in electricity generation, APT has expanded its field of activities in engineering, procurement and installation of small scale power plants with CHP.

Currently, APT is constructing two Gas Power Plant with CHP near Tonekabon 2 substation and Nashtarood in Mazandaran province. Aryana Petro Tavan has plan for construction and operation of small scale power plant with CHP with Total capacity of 500 MW within its next 5 years.
