United Pumps of Canada, incorporated under the laws of Ontario in 1957, as an independent corporation specializing in the design, manufacture and service of single, and multi-stage, centrifugal pumps meeting the latest requirements of the American Petroleum Institue specification API 610 and ASME codes.

Over the years, United Pumps of Canada has gained a reputation as a designer and manufacturer of reliable centrifugal pumps through attention to quality and customer requirements. Today, United Pumps of Canada is operating in all sections of the hydro carbon processing industry from crude oil production and gas plants through refining and petrochemical plants, to shipping and marketing terminals.

In 1997, United Pumps of Canada changed its name to CPC⁄⁄⁄ Pumps International, to more truly reflect its new focus:
