Solar Power Plant

Today, industrial societies and major urban centers face serious environmental pollution challenges. At the same time, due to the non-renewable nature of fossil fuels, available resources are continuously diminishing while their supply costs are rising. Ensuring sustainable energy and creating a healthy environment for citizens are essential pillars of sustainable development. One of the most effective pathways to achieve these goals is the expansion of renewable energy—particularly solar power. With its favorable climate, high solar irradiation, and strong renewable energy potential, Iran holds exceptional conditions for the development of solar power plants.

In response to the significant imbalance in the country’s electricity sector, Ariana Petro Tavan has adopted an innovative approach by investing in clean technologies and modern electrical power generation systems. Following consultations with the Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization (SATBA), the company obtained authorization to construct 150 MW of solar power capacity.

At present, construction activities are underway for two solar power plants—each with a capacity of 50 MW—on a 150-hectare site in Semnan Province. These projects are scheduled to be commissioned by the peak demand season of 2027, contributing significantly to the expansion of clean electricity generation in the country.
